These Terms govern your use of OwlCal, the family organizer available at owlcal.com and through our iOS, Android, and Mac apps. By creating an account or using OwlCal you agree to these Terms.
Don't misuse OwlCal. That includes: attempting to access other families' data; probing or disrupting the service; uploading unlawful content; using the service to harass anyone; or reselling the service. We may suspend accounts that violate these rules.
You own the content your family puts into OwlCal (events, lists, meals, chat, RSVPs, and so on). You give us the limited license needed to store, process, and display that content to your family, that's it. We don't sell your content and we don't use it to train AI models.
OwlCal may include optional features assisted by artificial intelligence, including features powered by Google Gemini (for example, creating events from a photo or plain English, and scanning lists). AI output can be imperfect; double-check anything important (times, dates, addresses). AI features process your content only to provide the feature you requested, as described in our Privacy Policy. We do not use your family's content or Google user data to train generalized AI models. Connecting Google Calendar is separate from AI features. By using AI features you acknowledge that results are provided as-is and may require your review before saving.
If you subscribe to external calendars (ICS), connect Google Calendar with OAuth, open addresses in a maps app, or use other third-party services, those providers have their own terms and privacy policies. Only connect or subscribe to accounts and feeds you are authorized to use. When you connect Google, you authorize OwlCal to access calendar data as described in our Privacy Policy (Google API Services / Limited Use). You may disconnect Google at any time in Family settings or by revoking access in your Google Account.
We protect your data with encryption in transit and at rest and industry-standard safeguards, as described in the Privacy Policy. No service can promise perfect security; notify us at support@getsignout.com if you suspect a problem and we'll investigate promptly.
OwlCal offers a free trial and paid family plans (for example Regular and Pro AI) as described on owlcal.com. Features and pricing may change; material changes will be noted in the app. Paid plans renew according to the store or billing provider you use. The service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features; if we ever discontinue the service entirely, we'll give reasonable notice so you can export your data.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or lost data, profits, or goodwill, arising from your use of OwlCal. Our total liability for any claim is limited to $50. Some jurisdictions don't allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.
You can stop using OwlCal and request deletion at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, with notice where practical.
Account holders receive a personal invite link. Referral counts are provided for fun and for our own understanding of how families find OwlCal; they carry no monetary value unless we explicitly announce a rewards program in writing. Do not spam your link, post it deceptively, or generate signups artificially. We may adjust or reset counts affected by abuse.
If you send us ideas or suggestions, we may use them to improve OwlCal without obligation or compensation. Your family's content remains yours per Section 3.
Features labeled beta or experimental may change or disappear without notice and are provided with no commitments beyond these Terms.
You agree to defend and hold us harmless from claims arising out of your violation of these Terms or misuse of the service, to the extent permitted by law.
Before filing any claim, contact us at support@getsignout.com and give us 30 days to work it out with you informally; most issues are resolved this way. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be handled in the state or federal courts located in California, and you consent to their jurisdiction.
If any part of these Terms is found unenforceable, the rest remains in effect. These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between you and us regarding OwlCal.
We may update these Terms; material changes will be noted in the app with an updated date above. Continued use after changes means you accept them. Questions: support@getsignout.com.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
